Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced PianoTeacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pianoperformance and pedagogy, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. The PianoTeacher will provide personalized instruction, develop lesson plans, and create a positive learning atmosphere for students. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and group pianolessons to students of various ages and skill levels. Develop customized lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and goals of each student. Teach proper pianotechniques, music theory, and performance skills. Prepare students for recitals, competitions, and examinations as needed. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve. Communicate regularly with students and their families regarding progress and any concerns. Stay current with teaching methods, repertoire, and trends in music education. Participate in school events, recitals, and community outreach programs as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience teaching pianoto students of various ages and skill levels. Strong proficiency in pianoperformance and a solid understanding of music theory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students in their musical journey. Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching music. Availability to teach during evenings and weekends (negotiable/flexible). Competitive compensation based on experience. Responsibilities Determining student goals and objectives, and discussing lesson details with them. Structuring individual lessons based on client preferences and goals. Providing students with appropriate materials and resources. Showing up on time for scheduled practice sessions, recitals, competitions, and other events. Teaching music theory, helping students sharpen their sight-reading, memorization, improvising techniques, or other student-defined goals. Requirements Bachelor’s degree inmusic, music education, or related field. Availability to teach at least 8 hours per week; two evenings a week minimum, but more preferred; core hours 4pm to 8pm. Strong musical ability, as well as proven skills withyour instrument. Previous experience as a music teacher preferred. Strong motivational skills. Nice to have Previous experience as a music teacher preferred. Fluent sight-reading. Patience, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to teach online/virtual lessons.
