Industrial Engineering Intern – Summer 2027
KMM is looking for a motivated Industrial Engineering Intern to join our aerospace electronics manufacturing team for Summer 2027 . This internship offers hands‑on experience improving production workflows, analyzing labor standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
What You'll Work OnWorkflow Mapping - Observe production processes, document material flow, and identify bottlenecks.
Time & Takt Studies - Collect cycle‑time data and support labor estimate refinement.
Data Analysis - Analyze throughput, labor standards, and production metrics.
Routing Review - Validate routing accuracy and workflow alignment with actual production.
Lean Activities - Participate in 5S, waste‑reduction efforts, and small improvement projects.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Familiarity with Excel , process‑mapping tools , or basic CAD
Interest in Lean , workflow optimization, and continuous improvement
Clear communication and teamwork skills
Real engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing
